Marjorie Ruth Thibodeaux Logan, age 87, of South Boston passed away February 25, 2026.
Born in Sulphur, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Ferdy and Alexandrine Thibodeaux. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Logan; her children, Linda Hancock and Larry Logan (Rosemarie); her grandson, Bryan McKinney; and her siblings, Leroy Savoy, Earl Thibodeaux (whose wife, Nelsie, survives), Lee Thibodeaux and Charles Thibodeaux.
Marjorie is survived by her devoted and loving partner, Herbert Wright of Charlotte Court House; her sisters, Annie Scott (Robert) and Diane LeDoux (Kim) both of Sulphur, LA; her grandchildren, Benjamin McKinney, Clinton McKinney (Samantha), Jason McKinney, Chu Hui Pak, Tamara Logan (Ricky), and Joshua Logan (Timothy); twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was devoted to all she held dear, giving her heart and soul to her family, her community, and her country.
She cherished her role as MawMaw to her grandchildren, loving them with steadfast generosity and unwavering commitment to their comfort and wellbeing.
She honored family traditions, treasuring the stories, memories, and Cajun heritage which she shared through her Louisiana cooking.
Her devotion extended well beyond her home. As a retired Air Force wife, her life was rooted in honor and service, and she carried that into the community as a dedicated member of VFW Post 8243 in Halifax.
