Mary Ann Ford Clark

Mrs. Mary Ann Ford Clark of Halifax, VA passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021. She was born in Halifax County on June 4, 1928 and was 92 years old. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Irby Ford and the late Annie Rebecca Gravitt Ford and was married to the late Earl Green Clark. She was an active member of Dan River Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served on numerous committees. She also was active with the WMU. She was a retired teacher with Halifax County School System teaching lastly at Halifax Elementary School. Survivors include: One daughter Barbara C. Cole and husband Mike of Halifax One son Mark Clark of South Boston Two sisters Jean F. Reaves of South Boston Patricia F. Wawner of Colonial Heights Two grandchildren Grant Cole of Roanoke Andrew Cole of Blacksburg She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eastman Ford and Henry Ford A funeral service will be held at Dan River Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Barbara and Mike Cole, 1071 Turkey Run Road, Halifax.
