Mary "Tookie" Seay Cheek

Mary “Tookie” Seay Cheek of South Boston, VA passed away January 23, 2020.  She was born in Christiansburg, VA on September 17, 1940 and was 79 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Alfred Seay and the late Agnes Newton Seay. She was married to the late Walter Franklin Cheek, Sr.

She was of the Baptist faith. Tookie was an avid dancer and loved music especially Blue Grass and was sparkle in the lives of many.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the John Theo officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home.
