Matthew Todd Bowman

Matthew Todd Bowman, 50, of Virginia Beach, VA went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021.  Born in Henrico County, VA on August 3, 1970.

He is survived by his wife, Danielle; his father Douglas and wife Meredith Bowman of South Boston, VA; mother Marian Mowbray Seigla and husband Harrison (Harry) Seigla of Mechanicsville, VA; daughter Brooke Bowman of Raleigh, NC; step-children Kelsie Stricklin, Kolby Stricklin, and Tanner Stricklin; brother Drew Seigla of New York City; aunt and uncle, Anne and Chuck Erickson of Vero Beach, FL; uncle Charles Mowbray of Alpharetta, GA; godmother Sharon Dove of Washington DC, and Lola, their beloved family dog. In addition, Todd is survived by four step-brothers; Ward, Jeff and Brian Burton, and Brian Seigla of Mechanicsville VA.

Todd was a graduate of Halifax County High School and later received his bachelor’s degree from Longwood University where he excelled at baseball, helping lead the Lancers to the 1991 College World Series.  After graduating, Todd stayed in Virginia and had an accomplished career in sales, spanning several decades. Never losing his passion for sports, Todd was a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and an ardent supporter of all University of Virginia sports teams. Todd loved the beach, being on his boat, and spending time with his family and friends.  He truly lived life to the fullest.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Oak Ridge Cemetery, 2500 North Main St., South Boston VA.
