Michael Junior Pennell

Michael Junior Pennell of Keysville, VA passed away November 20, 2025 at the age 43. He was born in Halifax County on February 12, 1982 to Irean Pennell Lacks who survives and the late Michael Lemuel Lacks.

He was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Michael loved being around his family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by three siblings, Cheyenne Lemuel Yates, Victoria Daisy Yates, and Della Mae Pennell Robertson (Clarence); half-sister, Donna Lacks; special friends, Alexandria Wynn, Jen West, and Ramona and Mary; and beloved pet, “Lil Bit”.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Samuel B. “Buck” Lacks.

A graveside service will be held Monday, November 24, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
