Minnie Hudson Grove

Minnie Hudson Grove of South Boston passed away on June 4, 2026 at the age of 88. She was born in Halifax County on April 8, 1938 to the late Fletcher Green Hudson and the late Etta Logan Conner Hudson. She was married the late Irving Daniel Grove.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Curtis Grove and wife Mitzi of South Boston, James Grove and wife Jennifer of Altavista, Brenda Landrum and husband J.W. of South Boston; stepson, Irving Daniel Grove, Jr. of Chesterfield; numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; siblings, Herbert Floyd Hudson (Naomi) of Scottsburg, Ernest Howard Hudson of Fredericksburg, Frank Jacob Hudson (Nancy) of Scottsburg, Etta Mae Smith (Harvey) of Halifax; daughter-in-law, Anita Gregory; sister-in-law, Judy Hudson; host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, Janice Powell and David Grove; stepdaughter, Nancy Epperson; her siblings, Louise Waskey, Fletcher Wayne Hudson, Oscar Rogers Hudson, and George David Hudson

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 3:00 P.M at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Vance Midgett officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home.
