Minnie Lewis Tingen passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2023, at South Boston Health & Rehab. She was born on July 16th, 1927, in Halifax County, VA. Minnie's remarkable journey was defined by her dedication to serving others. She spent many years working as an ABB security guard, ensuring the safety of those around her. With each passing day, she brought a sense of security and peace to all who crossed her path. Outside of her career, Minnie's true passion lay in serving the South Boston Church of God. As a devoted member, she found solace and fulfillment in contributing to the spiritual well-being of the congregation. Her commitment to her faith shone brightly through various roles she undertook within the church community. Minnie's warmth and kind-hearted nature were evident through her prolonged work with Downtown Friendship Mission. Through thick and thin, she remained faithful to those she loved and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Her acts of kindness touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Minnie Lewis Tingen's memory will forever be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
