Nancy Dunston Throckmorton

Nancy Dunston Throckmorton of Scottsburg, VA passed away January 12, 2020.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on July 3, 1941 and was 78 years of age. She was the daughter of the late John Dunston and the late Florence Toombs Lloyd. She was married to John Lewis Throckmorton who survives.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.  Nancy was a tax preparer and ran her own business for many years. She was also a bookkeeper at local tobacco warehouses.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Powell Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating. Burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery in Scottsburg, VA.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at Powell Funeral Home and other times at their home, 2013 Scottsburg Rd., Scottsburg, VA.
