Listen to Obituary

N. Clarice Arendall Walker, born on January 16, 1935, in Halifax County, to the late William “Dick” Frank Arendall and the late Lillie Morgan “Morgie” Martin Arendall departed this life peacefully on October 22, 2025. She was an incredible woman whose outgoing personality and sharp wit brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Clarice possessed a loving heart and a sweet spirit. She was always ready to help, share a kind word, or just offer a hug for friends and family.

Clarice was a devoted and well-loved member of First Baptist Church of Millstone, never missing a Sunday or special event and always putting her church first. She shared her love of music by singing in the church choir, until her health prevented it. And any time there was a special event going on you would find her helping out, participating, or just coming to fellowship with all her friends and family. Her memory will be fondly remembered, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted daughters, Janet W. Francis (Doug) of Vernon Hill, Donna W. Perkins (Reba) of Russell Springs, KY, and Glynis Walker (Sharon) of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Tammi Walker, Amanda Bowman (Bubba), Tara Francis, Emily Davis (Josh), Leslie Jackson (Thomas), and Quincy Francis, eleven great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary A. Brown of Nathalie. Each of them carries with them the values and love imparted by their mother, ensuring that Clarice’s spirit continues to live on through them.

Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Walker; her two children, Kathy W. Francis and Kenneth D. Walker; siblings, Frances A. Jennings and William Frank Arendall, Jr.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Millstone at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Thad Decker and Rev. Barry Fero officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her home.
