Nellie Hazelwood Snead

Nellie Lennie Hazelwood Snead of Clover, VA passed away June 30, 2022.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on October 8, 1927 and was 94 years of age.  She was the daughter of the late Jack Hazelwood and the late Nellie Lacks Hazelwood.  She was married to the late John Lewis Snead.

She was a member of Clover United Methodist Church.  Nellie enjoyed cooking, working in the vegetable garden, and tying tobacco.  Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas. But most of all she loved reading the Bible and she especially loved her children and grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 3, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at Clover Cemetery with the Rev. Bonnie Pizzeck officiating.

The family will receive friends at her home, 2011 Mill Road, Clover, VA.
