Neville Forest Conner

Mr. Neville Forest Conner, 88, of Nathalie, VA, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was born on February 15, 1937, in Halifax County, VA, to the late Everette Conner and the late Ellie Saunders Conner. He was married for 64 years to Hazel Blackstock Conner, who survives.

Mr. Conner was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the Army National Guard after 36 years of service, having attained the rank of First Sergeant. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. In his free time, he enjoyed tending to his garden. Above all, he loved and valued his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Hunting Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Powell Funeral Home from 7-8:30 PM and other times at his home.
