Patsy Tucker Long

Patsy Tucker Long of Halifax, VA passed away on March 5, 2023.  She was the beloved wife of the late William Jackson “Bobby” Long, Jr., whom she was married to for over 60 years.  Patsy was born in Halifax County, VA on September 2, 1941 to the late Walter Keith Tucker and the late Lucille Adams Tucker. 

She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher.  Patsy retired as an X-ray technician.  She loved to travel and working on her needle point.  Family and friends will carry her memory always.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of South Boston, with the Rev. Susan Davis officiating. Burial of Patsy and Bobby Long will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Tuesday from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. other times at her home.
