Rebecca "Becky" Conner Irby

Rebecca "Becky" Conner Irby went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 25, 2026 and to join in heaven her loving husband of 62 years, John Wayne Irby. She was a devoted mother to Robin I. Yates (Mark) and Jeffrey W. Irby (Annette) and adoring grandmother to Kathleen Y. Sibley (Stephen), Ryan Yates (Mary), Josh Irby (Katie), and Kassidy Irby. Great-grandchildren James Sibley, Julia Sibley, and Jackson Irby were the apples of her eye. She is also survived by a sister, Judy C. Williams, and a brother, Taylor Conner (Mary Lee). She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Thompson Conner and Frances Bomar Conner, and her brother-in-law, Harold Williams.

Becky was a life-long member of Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church, where she worshipped and joyfully served in many capacities. Her infectious smile and warm-hearted personality led to many friendships on the golf course and at the bowling alley. She also made many friends at Tultex and Burlington Industries while working for The Coca Cola Company.

A funeral service will be held at Mt. Laurel United Methodist Church on Tuesday, September 29th, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Dave Moreno and Rev. David Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Monday, September 28", from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and at other times at her home.
