Richard Eldon Rice

Richard “Eldon” Rice 86, of South Boston, VA passed away November 27, 2023.  He was born in South Boston, VA to the late Ernest Elder Rice and the late Minnie Mary Crews Rice on December 5, 1936. He was married to Josephine Jennings Rice who survives.

He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  He was the retired owner and operator of Rice & Sons Automotive Service where working on cars was his lifelong passion.   He was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the Kingdom Hall.
