Robert "Bobby" Barry Cunningham

Robert Barry “Bobby” Cunningham of Nathalie, VA went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Lynchburg General Hospital.  He was born in Halifax County, VA on September 20, 1950 and was 70 years of age. He was the son of the late Robert Garland Cunningham, Jr. and the late Betty Wright Cunningham. He was married to Judy Waller Cunningham who survives.

Bobby was a very loving, gentle, caring man that loved his family with all his heart! He also loved fishing when he was able, loved hotrods, and watching racing on TV. His loving and caring spirit will forever be cherished by his family.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove with the Rev. Shelton Miles and Rev. Zak Ford officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery. In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, we recommend the wearing of face masks and practice social distancing. The service will be livestreamed via Powell Funeral Home’s Facebook page.

The family will receive friends Sunday, one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at his home.
