He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Lockner Hawkins, and his grandfather, Paul S. Lockner, Sr.
Robert will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and the love he shared with those around him. He had a steady presence that brought comfort to family and friends and lived his life with quiet resilience and unwavering dedication. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and made a lasting impact through his work, friendships, and the time he devoted to those he loved.
He enjoyed laughing, joking, fishing, riding to the park to look for deer, and eating ice cream. He took great pride in the relationships he built over the years. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Robert grew up in Keysville, Virginia, and attended McGhee’s Mill Baptist Church in Semora, North Carolina. While he accomplished many things in life, his greatest joy was his love for the Lord.
