Rosa "Peggy" Lee Smith

Rosa Lee “Peggy” Smith of South Boston, VA passed away October 6, 2021.  She was born in South Boston, VA on July 9, 1928 and was 93 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Sidney Lee Smith and the late Irene Bowen Smith.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. She graduated from Longwood College and continued her education at RPI. Peggy was known for her spontaneous travels and love of Broadway shows. She loved helping others and will be remembered as a loving and caring person.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Garrett Bowman Rev. Susan Davis officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
