Rosalie Conner Perkins

Rosalie Alice Conner Perkins of South Boston passed away July 2, 2025 at the age of 91. She was born in Halifax County on September 18, 1933 to the late Lewis Mayfield Conner and the late Nannie Faulkner Conner. She was married to the late Eugene Perkins.

She was a member of Union United Methodist Church. Rosalie worked for Craddock Terry Shoe Company and later at Wabash Magnetics and where she retired. Upon retirement she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara Messick of Alton, Vicky Garner (Tommy) of Indiana, Janet Lewis (Dane) of Powhatan, and Carolyn E. Wheeler (Lee) of Indiana. Ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. One sister-in-law Doris Conner and a host of extended family and friends.

Rosalie was preceded in death by one granddaughter April Jacobs; two great grandchildren; her siblings, Raymond Conner, Owen Conner, William “Billy” Conner, Roy Conner, Joyce C. Hernandez and Robert “Buck” Conner; son-in-law, Jerry Messick.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Thad Decker officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside and other times 3021 Traynham Grove Rd., Alton, VA
