Sarah Elizabeth Hawker

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Terry Hawker of Vernon Hill, VA passed away October 29, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Halifax County, VA on June 21, 1929 and was 92 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Dewey William Terry and the late May Riell Compton Terry and was married to the late Clyde Norman Hawker.

She was a member of the Oak Level Presbyterian Church and retired from Burlington Industries after 45 years of service.

Three Grandchildren

Melissa Barksdale, Chris Moser (Michelle) and Brian Moser (Alex)

Three Great Grandchildren

Desiree Moser, Renee Moser and Sophia Moser

One great grandson, Isiah Barksdale

Two sisters, Dorothy DeGraff and Mary Lou Newby

Two brothers, Melvin Terry and Paul Terry

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oak Level Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ron McCraken officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church and other times at the home.
