Shirley Childress Irby

Mrs. Shirley Childress Irby of Nathalie, VA passed away February 2, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Campbell County, VA on July 2, 1938 and was 80 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Hubert Childress and the late Emma “Roxie” Childress and was married to Bentley William Irby, Sr., who survives.   She was of the Methodist faith and a retired Halifax County Public School Bus Driver.   Mrs. Shirley Childress Irby is survived by: Her Husband Bentley William Irby, Sr. of Nathalie One Daughter Penny L. Irby of Nathalie One Son Bentley W. Irby, Jr. of Nathalie Three Grandchildren Samantha M. Hall (Grant) of Salem, VA Denver W. Milton (Kerry Plank) of Blacksburg, VA Kristen M. Evans (Zach) of South Hill, VA ***Preceded in death by*** One daughter, Karen Irby Three sisters and two brothers   Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel.   For memorials please consider the Halifax County Cancer Association or the American Heart Association.
