Sidney Braxton Snead

Mr. Sidney Braxton “Shawty” Snead of Nathalie, VA passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.  He was born May 14, 1965 in Halifax County, VA and was 55 years old.  He was the son of the late John W. Snead, Sr. and the late Sallie Mae Fuller Snead.

He was of the Baptist faith and attended Fork Baptist Church.  Sidney was an avid rabbit hunter and also worked for 23 years at Schewels.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Warfield officiating.  In keeping with CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19, funeral service will be livestream via Powell Funeral Home’s Facebook page.  Mask and social distancing will be required.
