Susan Woody Rutherford

Susan Woody Rutherford, of South Boston, Va., passed away December 08, 2023 at the age of 68.  She was born in Halifax County Va on September 16, 1955 to the late James William Woody Jr. and Janet Loftis Woody who survives.  She was married to Ray Rutherford for 49 years.

She was a member of Black Walnut Baptist where she was an active member of the WMU.  She was a cashier for Winn Dixie and then later at Food Lion for many years.  She will be remembered by her contagious smile, her love for her family and will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, January 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Black Walnut Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Wooten and Pastor Tracy Webb officiating.

A visitation will be held after the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
