Thelma Jennings Francis

Thelma Jennings Francis of Halifax, VA passed away June 18, 2019.  She was born in Lynchburg, VA on October 2, 1935 and was 83 years of age. She was the daughter of the late F.M. Jennings and the late Helen Crews Jennings. She was married to the late William Thornton Francis.

She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and attended Mountain Road Baptist Church.  She loved yardwork, growing flowers and spending time with family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 3:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Bob Hardman officiating. Burial to follow in Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and other times at home of her daughter, 1110 Swain Road, Halifax.
