Thomas "Allie" Allen Midkiff

Thomas Allen "Allie" Midkiff, passed away on September 25, 2026. Born on December 19, 1945, to the late Brantley Thomas Midkiff and the late Grayce Nancy Midkiff. He was married for 57 years to his only love, Sandra Anderson Midkiff, who survives.

Allie will be remembered as a God-fearing man whose strong faith in God guided his life. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Millstone. At his beloved church he served as a Deacon, song leader, choir member, cemetery committee, as well as a Sunday School Teacher and Director. He was known for his loving and giving spirit, and for the smile he so often shared with others. To those who knew him best, he was also cherished for giving the best hugs, a simple but lasting expression of the warmth and care he carried so naturally. He lived in a way that reflected God’s love, compassion, and a quiet strength that will not be forgotten.

Allie proudly served his country in the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He raised tobacco and livestock on the family farm, was owner/operator of a tractor trailer and later worked and retired from Davenport Energy as driver and salesman. Upon retirement Allie and Sandra spent time traveling, raising a garden for the community and enjoying retirement but mostly spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Sandra Midkiff, he is survived by his son, Bran Midkiff (Tina) and his daughter, Pam Wallace; three grandchildren, Emily G. Hudson (Dylan), Peyton W. Powell (Mason) and Neyland Wallace (Olivia Seamster); two great grandchildren, Nash Hudson and Reese Hudson. Allie leaves behind many extended family members and friends. May his memory bring them peace and comfort in the days ahead and may the love he shared remain a lasting blessing in their lives.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Millstone with the Rev. Barry Fero officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening at Powell Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 pm.
