Thomas Yuille Hundley

Mr. Thomas Yuille Hundley of Halifax, VA passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital.  He was born in Halifax County on September 3, 1933 and was 87 years old.  He was the son of the late John Fletcher Hundley and the late Winnie Cook Hundley and was married to Merle Bowling Hundley who survives. He was an active member of Dan River Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon.  He was a twenty-year veteran of US Marine Corps, having attained the rank of Captain.  He was a farmer and loved hunting with his birddogs and Beagles.  He was an active member of the Halifax Heritage Committee and had passion for restoring old tractors.  He also had a lifelong passion for flying and still owned a J4 Piper Cub airplane.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Houck and a brother, Charles Fletcher Hundley

A graveside service with Military Rites will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Dan River Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Doug Gibson officiating.
