Willie Monroe Lacks

Willie Monroe Lacks of Randolph, VA passed away at his home on June 22, 2022.   He was born in Halifax County, VA on June 10, 1941, and was 81 years of age.  He was the son of the late Willie Lewis Lacks and the late Cora Seamster Lacks.  He would have been married for 61 years this coming August 12 to June Newcomb Lacks who survives. They were sweethearts since the seventh grade.

He was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church of Drakes Branch, where he was a Deacon for many years. His church was his second family. He owned the NAPA stores in Clover and Halifax.

A graveside will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, 239 Friendship Church Rd., Drakes Branch, VA 23937. The Rev. Dr. Jerry Jordan will officiate the service.

Willie may be viewed at Powell Funeral Home until Saturday at 12:00 P.M.
