Zina Marie Cline

Zina Marie Cline of South Boston passed away on October 5, 2026 at the age of 61. She was born in Lynchburg, VA on June 1, 1965 to the late Joe Merkson Cline and the late Doris Benson Cline.

Zina was a woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved gathering with family and friends, enjoying food and drink, playing cards, watching her soap operas and police dramas, and fishing. Her love of life was matched only by her love for her family, who she cherished above all else.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters, Raven Reann Howell (Michael Irby) of South Boston, Jeannie Richlenn Howell (Daniel Rowland) of Scottsburg; two grandchildren, Eli Irby and Isaac Irby; one sister, Cindy Taylor of Gladys; brother-in-law, Richard Givens; three special friends, Dusty Hackworth, Diane Ketron and Gerald Layne, his wife and family; many beloved extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sonny Cline (Rosemary Cline), Donna Givens and Melodie Boswell (Bob Boswell).

A memorial service will be held on October 18, 2026 from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at Altavista Volunteer Fire Department in the meeting room.
